Tekprogs.com is a small, self-hosted operation. We collect as little as possible, we do not sell or share information for marketing, and the software we publish runs entirely on your own equipment. Effective date: 20 October 2026.
Tekprogs.com ("Tekprogs", "we") publishes TekVault PACS and related tools from Tampa, Florida, United States. Questions about this statement can be sent through the Support page.
Like almost every website, our web server records standard request logs: the IP address of the visitor, the date and time, the page or file requested, the browser type ("user agent") and the referring page. We use these logs only to keep the site running, to measure how often pages and downloads are used in aggregate, and to investigate abuse or attacks. Logs are kept for up to 90 days and are then deleted.
This site does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and it does not include social-media widgets or third-party trackers. The only cookie-like storage used is a technical one set by Cloudflare Turnstile when the contact form's bot check is enabled (see below). We do not fingerprint visitors or build profiles.
Downloading an installer requires no account or registration. The download itself appears in the server logs as described above; nothing else is recorded about who downloaded what.
When you send a message through the Support page we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. The message is delivered to our support mailbox through our Microsoft 365 tenant, and your email address is set as the reply address so we can answer you. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and for our records afterwards; you can ask us to delete it at any time.
To stop the form being used for spam we also process the following, briefly:
TekVault PACS, the TekVault Agent and DicomTestKit are installed and run on your own servers and workstations. Tekprogs never receives, stores or has access to the medical images, patient data, user accounts or configuration handled by your installation. There is no telemetry, usage reporting or crash reporting built into the software.
The one optional connection the software makes to us is the update check. When enabled during installation or on the Maintenance page, the server fetches a small file from tekprogs.com about once a day to find out whether a newer release exists. That request contains only the installed version number in the request's user-agent string; it carries no identifiers for your site, users or data, and it appears in our server logs like any other request. You can turn the check off at any time, and the software keeps working without it.
Links from the software to documentation and downloads on tekprogs.com open in your browser and are ordinary website visits covered by the sections above.
Because the software runs on your premises, you are the data controller for anything stored in it. Protecting patient data under HIPAA or the regulations that apply to you — access control, encryption, backups, audit — is the responsibility of the organisation operating the installation; the product provides tools to help (sign-in, TLS, audit log, backups) but using them correctly is up to you.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. The only parties that process information on our behalf are:
We will disclose information if required to by law or a valid legal process, or where necessary to protect the site and its users from abuse.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it, through the contact form. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA) you may have additional statutory rights; we honour those requests regardless of location.
The website and the contact form are served over HTTPS. The contact API can only send to our own mailbox and is restricted by an Exchange application access policy, so it cannot be used to send mail to or as anyone else. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not include passwords, patient data or other sensitive information in a contact message.
This site and our software are intended for businesses and healthcare professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be mentioned on the What's new page.
